When Kevin Rathbun opened his eponymous steakhouse in 2007, plenty of folks scratched their heads. After all, he chose for its location a former factory in a rundown section of Inman Park, a mere two blocks from his original and very successful restaurant. Today, those same naysayers call Rathbun a genius. He had secured a spot on the Atlanta BeltLine before the crowds showed up and real estate prices skyrocketed. He even had the forethought to create a patio overlooking what is now the most vibrant pedestrian pathway in the city. The interior is all steakhouse with hardwood floors, richly textured wood walls, and leather seating, but totally modern with dramatic lighting, an open kitchen, and a warm industrial vibe.
