Merchant & Trade’s design features include an exterior street entry with a glowing amber canopy and vortex fire feature. In ground lights lead guests from the street entry to the exclusive elevator that jets guests to the roof. The fire element repeats at the rooftop lounge with a large stone fireplace behind the walnut-slab host stand accented with polished stainless steel. The exterior lounge doubles as a private event space with a retractable roof and artificial grass floor. Cozy lounge furniture creates a variety of seating at the exterior lounge with a backdrop of ipe wood slats, white concrete three-dimensional geometric tiles and a feature television wall. Rocking chairs and custom floor lamps offer an intimate viewpoint of Charlotte and reinforce the southern aesthetic. The VIP lounge offers private lounge space with a personal TV and gas sconces.
This amazing venue, named by the Food Network as one of the nation’s top rooftop bars, highlights the energetic nightlife the Queen City embraces, and creates an exciting and sophisticated destination in the striking Cooper Carry-designed Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel.
